Thakadu River Camp is a luxurious campground located in the malaria-free Madikwe Game Reserve. The tent suites are air-conditioned and have a private patio, with the communal area consisting of an open-plan lounge, dining area, and outdoor pool. The tent suites also have mosquito nets, tea/coffee facilities, and a private bathroom, with family tent suites having an extra sleeper couch for children. Meals and beverages are served in the communal dining room, with room service available upon request. Children over 6 can join game drives, and a babysitting service is available for younger children. Other amenities include massages, laundry services, and free parking. The campground is a 3.5-hour drive from OR Tambo Airport and 12 miles from Gaberone.
